Trajectory

Trajectory (2021-2022) - Ink on paper. 19 3/4” x 26”.

Part of a series in progress, Trajectory works on the ideas of the distraction of the chatter of the mind and the opening/flickering of a moment of being anchored and grounded. I am using a dot application of movement and a simple line drawing to parallel what I imagine it is like floating in a simplified star field - similar to simply thinking. An opening, a moment of visual stimuli amongst the thoughts, is a moment of rest from thought. The openings are remnant memories of my experience with deserts, vast places where these ideas first came to be and what generates ruminations.
